Papers, mainly 1938-1955, of historian and clothing expert, Alberta Johnson Price (Mrs. Frederick), primarily concerning her costume research for Wade House, an historic site operated by the State Historical Society of Wisconsin. Included is correspondence with Ruth DeYoung Kohler, notes, and draft training materials for docents. Also included is a report on costume research she conducted with a Rockefeller Grant, 1938-1939; an annual report of the Wisconsin Association for Mental Health of which she was a member; and an 1865 letter from H. Price (perhaps a relative of her husband) describing the political situation in post-Civil War Washington, D.C.
